Discover the awe-inspiring beauty of Africa on this adventure-packed vacation. You’ll be doing it all: A sunset cruise, an exploration of Victoria Falls, a visit to a native village, and river-based wildlife viewing trips – a one-of-a-kind vacation you won’t soon forget.
Your trip begins in Johannesburg, where you’ll connect onto Zimbabwe and be transferred to your hotel by a tour representative. After being welcomed with a refreshing cocktail and settling in, your journey gets started with an experience most people only dream of – a sunset cruise above Victoria Falls. The relaxing boat ride meanders along the Zambezi River – located above the falls. And as the sun begins to fade, the wildlife (including hippos and crocodiles) heads to the water’s edge to bathe and quench their thirst. Sip cocktails, snap National Geography-worthy photos and enjoy a relaxing first night of your adventure vacation.
Next, experience the grandiose of Victoria Falls from the surrounding landscapes. During a day-long walking tour, you’ll breathe in the misty spray of the falls, as you explore this world-famous waterfall from must-see vantage points, including the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island, and Livingstone Island. The tour shows you all of this natural wonder, from the Main Falls to the smaller Horseshoe and Rainbow falls. Feel the roar of the falling water – millions of litres tumbling each minute – and glimpse the incredible gorges below. The exploration continues with a must-do cultural experience: A visit to an authentic African village. You’ll spend the night feasting on traditional foods (including grilled Mopani worms, if you so choose) and be treated to a show of tribal dance, drumming, and singing.
Next, you’ll cross the border into Botswana, where you’ll spend your days exploring Chobe National Park by water and land. The Park – one of the largest on the continent – is renowned for its wildlife populations. (Chobe has the largest concentration of wildlife in South Africa.) During a river cruise along the Chobe River, crocs, hippos and water buffalo prowl in the waters below. (Snap a photo or two – we promise, the animals look closer than they actually are.) The all-day excursion continues on into Chobe Game Reserve. You’ll board an outback Jeep and hit the trail in search of wildlife and once-in-a-lifetime photo ops. This full-day tour is ultimate safari adventure.
Enjoy your comfort lodge experience during the afternoons. Tucked into Chobe National Park, the lodge sits overlooking the Chobe River. The tranquil environs provide the ideal environment to relax and unwind, after an adventure-packed vacation. To cap your trip, you’ll be transferred from Botswana to Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls Airport, with a camera roll full of photos you can’t wait to share with friends and family back home.
